ECCE - free preschool year, this is available to each child from ages 2 years and 8 months ( from Sept 1st on that year ) to 4 years 7 months. this entitles each child to 3 hours of free preschool per day up to 5 days per week. Any additional time used or booked is charged at the price set out.
NCS- The national childcare scheme provides financial support to parents to help with the cost of childcare. each parent can apply for a "CHICK" number for each child, this chick number needs to be provided to creche to allow a claim to be put in for financial support. The parents are responsible for renewing this number and providing it to the service provider. details can be found on www.ncs.gov.ie.
